Press Kit collection
Scope and Contents
The collection includes press kits from several Major League Baseball teams including, the Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins, Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals. It also includes press kits from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Minor League Baseball Museum, and the Louisville Slugger Museum. Several press kits are from baseball-themed movies, such as A League of Their Own, The Rookie, Bad News Bears, Field of Dreams, and Angels in the Outfield. Press kits for various other people and organizations are also included.

A press kit, often referred to as a media kit in business environments, is a pre-packaged set of promotional materials that provides information about a person, company, organization or cause and which is distributed to members of the media for promotional use. Press kits are often distributed to announce a release or for a news conference.
