Scope and Contents
A collection of audio recordings created by the donor, Mike Tiedemann. This collection contains 630 audio recordings on standard audiocassette and open reel audiotape of baseball game radio and or television broadcasts from 1929 to 1998, including regular season, All-Star, and post-season games along with memorial tribute to Col. Ruppert, College All-Star Game, tribute to Harry Caray and historic moments in baseball such as the first game at the Astrodome, Ted Williams' first game as a manager, Henry Aaron's 715th home run, Mark McGwire's 62nd home run and Roger Clemens' 18 K game.

Biographical / Historical
The donor, Mike A. Tiedemann, created this collection of audio recordings for his own personal use. The recordings of the games range from the 1929 World Series - Game 4 to a New York Yankees - Chicago White Sox game on Sept 4, 1998.

Abstract

Arrangement
The audiocassettes are arranged in order by date, as are the open reel audio tapes.
Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
The audio cassettes and open reel audio tapes are located in cold vault storage and must be acclimated before delivery to the research room. The standard audio cassettes are available for review, the open reel audio tapes are not currently playable.

Audiocassette tapes are arranged in date order within the audiocassette collection (CTA) in the Recorded Media Archives. The open reel audio tapes are arranged in date order within the reel-to-reel collection (RR) in the Recorded Media Archives.
Custodial History
This collection was created by Mike A. Tiedemann and was donated to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in 2014.
