Series Description

From the Series:

The materials within this series date from 1886 to 1890 and are arranged alphabetically by last name. They are further organized by the pose codes assigned by Jay Miller, Joe Gonsowski, and Richard Masson's The Photographic Baseball Cards of Goodwin & Company (1886-1890) and then, when applicable, by the British Cartophilic Society classification and card publication date. Of particular interest are the Spotted Ties cards, the Brooklyn cards which are the only cards to show players in an outdoor setting, and the Players' League cards.
